Foundation of Success

The foundation of our success has been built upon delivering compelling service and supply solutions for our customers for over a decade.  We accomplish this by “listening to our customer needs” and achieving service excellence by “delivering” what you the customer have requested.  Our methodology is clear; however experiencing it is the opportunity we look forward to demonstrating with both current and prospective customers.  Below is a basic model that captures our customer planning process which can be applied to most environments….

We accomplish this through the commitment and dedication of each of our employees by consistently communicating the specific customer needs within our organization while exceeding your expectations through exceptional service delivery and satisfaction.

  • We listen and Analyze
  • We establish a Design / plan to meet your needs

Driving Efficiencies for Your Organization!

More than ever before, organizations are realizing the return on their investments in technology and although you have done an effective job of driving efficiencies relative to printing and document output, does your organization have a true Document Output Strategy?

Gartner Group who is a leading IT research organization in the US states that “Output fleets are one of the most overlooked and undermanaged sets of assets in many enterprises”. Many organizations have set some standards, perhaps deployed some multifunction devices on the network, and negotiated some new contracts for break/fix service and consumables. Your help desk can monitor some devices on the network and remotely diagnose some problems when end-users call-in with problems. Do you have a managed output environment? Certainly this is an initial step towards management of cost and operational process, but what else could be done?

Redesigning the output infrastructure to reduce costs and print less is Phase I of a comprehensive output strategy. However, output requirements are not static and organizations cannot sustain on-going savings unless they truly have the systems, processes and tools to fully manage the output environment. At DS&S, we can help you develop a sound strategy.

How to Manage Output more effectively: Implementing and sustaining improved operational processes is critical to achieve savings. Achieving operational excellence requires effective processes for managing assets and consumables, break/fix service, preventative maintenance, asset life cycle, standards compliance, and help desk. Beyond these processes, which merely maintain a static infrastructure, we must consider processes to manage the dynamics of a changing environment. Operational excellence requires effective processes for managing device utilization, Move-Add-Delete-Change requests, driver deployment, active monitoring of device operations and tracking print volumes over time.

There are three key objectives in developing an effective Document Output Management Strategy that we recommend.  First is to match device requirements to business needs. Output needs in clinical environments are dramatically different from those in administrative areas and need to be addressed as such.  Secondly we will optimize the effectiveness of output devices, making sure they have the functions and capacity of the different business needs in your organization.  Thirdly, we ensure there is flexibility to change and modify as needed based on the growth and changes in workflow demands throughout your environment over time. To accomplish this mission, it is important we outline the following::

  • Create enterprise Governing Principles for managing output
  • Reduce costs associated with hard copy output
  • Leverage infrastructure for workflow improvements to improve the quality of healthcare
  • Increase end-user productivity and patient satisfaction
  • Improve Operational Efficiency
