We can help get things moving with fast, simple and secure in-branch scanning.
Retail banking is paper intensive. Whether it is an account-opening package, a signature card, a loan application or supporting tax returns furnished by a customer, the challenge is to collect these mixed documents and move them from outlying branches to a central processing facility efficiently, economically and securely.
With bank branch document capture solutions, branch personnel can scan documents at their point of origin, index and link them to a specific customer, and transmit high-quality images through the bank’s secure network for immediate verification and storage in its central electronic document management system—all with the touch of a button on a multifunction printer (MFP).
Loan Origination Document Capture
Through our partnership with Lexmark, their Multifunction Printers are network scanning devices that not only produce Bank loan documents; they also scan them to the banks electronic document management system after the customer’s signature is placed on the loan. These documents are usually structured and are indexed for electronic storage automatically. But the borrowing customer in most cases has to provide financial proof of income before the loan is approved. Collecting these personal and confidential documents safely and securely is a challenge to most banks.
These unstructured documents are easily scanned and captured electronically at the branch location using the Multifunction Printer. Image indexing is a simple process from the MFP touch screen, no PC workstation required. Images are transmitted securely as encrypted files across the bank’s data network instead of hardcopy documents via mail. Efficiencies and cost savings are realized by eliminating the currier for this bank document process, not to mention shortening the loan approval process time and making the lender more competitive.
New Account Signature Card Capture
Multifunction Printers are network scanning devices that not only produce signature card documents; they scan them to the banks electronic document management system after the customer’s signature is placed on the card. These signature cards are barcoded with account holder information to facilitate automated image indexing and workflow processing. Signatures and cards are made available immediately to bank branch tellers and managers to help prevent check fraud and improve the customer check cashing experience. Images are transmitted securely as encrypted files across the bank’s data network instead of hardcopy documents via mail. Efficiencies and cost savings are realized by eliminating the currier for this bank document process.
